...of an Eternally Bored Math Student
The clock doesn't move fast enough. Seconds slowly tick by and I sit trapped in my plastic torture chair. Yep, that's right, math class. Words like percentile, median, and statistics float around in the perpetually bored air. Blank stares at computer screens, the professor, the clock. Oh, that clock, it doesn't actually work. Stuck at 10:27, I'm compelled to pull out my phone and check the real time. 2 New Messages. I open them hoping the words inside will save me from my dire condition, boredom. No luck, just Facebook notifications. I glance around the room to see if anyone's paying attention. Oooh, awkward eye contact. Look away! I go back to watching the guy next to me play computer games and attempt to stay awake. The professor asks a question and everyone stares. I realize that I know the answer and spit it out. I think I made him happy, he seems relieved that someone is actually learning something. Finally, 10:50 comes. With the broken clock still showing 10:27, I walk out of the room, finally free from the stifling atmosphere. Life, vivacity, lunchtime. All in a day in the life of an eternally bored math student.

I do believe that the atmosphere of my old testament class has the same boring feel to it.
